Sicao Green Tunnel Ticket in Tainan

A great ride to see the different plants and animals around the area. Ride comes with a guide who will explain and point out the different animal and plant species. Educational and easy redemption of tickets.

The boat ride is short but beautiful. If you like to be close to nature, literally having to duck at low branches, with some birds gracing the scene, this is good gor you. You need to self print the tickets at a counter inside the temple on the right side.

After arriving at the parking lot, I got lost because I didn't know where to go. When you enter the Taoist temple in the photo below (right next to the parking lot), there is a counter where you can scan the QR code. Grandfather will be sitting next to him. After authenticating there, come out and open the glass door in the photo below of the building on the left side of the square in front of the temple and enter. Inside is the boat shelter. I went around 11:30 on a Tuesday in December and it was already my 25th time. The boat seemed to just leave when the boat in front of it returned and was filled with about 30 people. I waited about 20 minutes before getting on. Before getting on the boat, I looked to the side and saw a pile of hats like hats, and it seemed like they were being lent out for free. The sun is strong, so you need a hat and sunglasses. Parasols don't seem to block the view of people behind you. The boat is divided into front and back with a passage in between, so if you miss the front row, the back and front row sides are fine. It has to be on the side to be visible.

Thumbs up for the view of this Sicao Green Tunnel. Ticket easy to redeem (our time is redeemed in the temple), just need to scan the QR code. There is an aircond waiting area and water refill machine beside the ticket counter. My small tip, if you want to have a best view, you will need to get the first and last row (first come first serve basis), 1 row about 6 to 7 seats. The boat rides about 30mins. After boat riding, you can go walk around the area.

The Amazon River is so beautiful when I first came to Taiwan! Although we were under the sun, we were provided with bamboo hats and fans. We could listen to the explanations while cruising, and before we knew it, 30 minutes had passed! Before going ashore, the tour guide reminded us to look at the jellyfish he caught today. The jellyfish were so big and interesting! After watching, you can also visit the Dazhong Temple and Sperm Whale Museum next to it! If you have time, you can also visit Sicao Fort. You can eat in the park and there is free parking! It’s a very good tourist destination!

It is very important to get a seat early, so you should arrive early and line up. If you go late, you should postpone it to the next time slot and sit in the first or second row to fully enjoy the view! The view is quite beautiful, so if you come to Tainan, it is a must-experience at least once~

The experience is fun and almost feels like being on the jungle cruise right in Tainan. The best time to visit is during winter to avoid the scorching heat.

Redemption counter is within the temple and not at the ticket sale counter. Nevertheless, easy redemption. Boat ride is about 20min and quite interesting.
